Carlton Train the Doha Kangaroos
The Doha Kangaroos were lucky enough to have three of Carlton’s coaches come down to take a light training session on Sunday the 30th of October. They ran our boys through some light kicking and handball drills and skills.
There was a great turn out from the Doha boys who were all keen to have a kick and meet the blues coaches. With over half a dozen new faces plus the regular boys there was enough to get some serious drills happening.
Thanks to the Senior Assistant Coach of Carlton, Alan Richardson, and Development Coaches Darren Harris and Luke Webster, who gave up some time and brought some insight into how they run their sessions with the boys back home.
With the Doha Kangaroos looking strong this year as well as getting some good numbers down to training after a win in round 1 are looking to have another good season campaign this year.
After training on Sunday Andre Jay officially known as the Doha’s Samoan Goal Sneak commented on how good the Doha boys were looking at training, “they showed some skills out there tonight with a couple of new boys having some impressing skills and the old boys showing some form. All thanks to the new club coach Pitre Bourdon who has been implementing some strategic training session in preparation for the Roos next game in December.” The Kangaroos next game is in round 3 on the 2nd of December against competition favourites and last year Premiers Abu Dhabi Falcons at home at the Doha Rugby Club.
