Player Farewells

One of the hardest things about expat life is saying goodbye to friends, which unfortunately happens all too often.

The Doha Kangaroos farewelled three of its favourite sons over summer, with Simon Davies, Chris Yue and Dylan Alexander all heading back home to Australia.

Between them, these three collected 2 Best and Fairest, 2 Best Team Man, 4 Leading Goalkicker and 2 Coaches Awards as well as all having played in the 2014 Premiership side!

They will also be missed off the field as they were all leaders in re-establishing Auskick here in Qatar.

We wish Simon, Chris, Dylan and their families all the best for the future

Kangaroos Season Opener

The Doha Kangaroos kicked of their season  against the Abu Dhabi Falcons on Friday October 23rd.
In what was a close hard fought match the Falcons came out victorious: Falcons 13 – 9 – 87 defeated Kangroos 12 – 2 – 74

Injuries to key players both before and during the game made it difficult for the Roos but that’s not taking away anything from the performance of the greatly improved Falcons.
